Job Description

Accounts Assistant | Award-Winning Law FirmPermanent | Part Time 21 hours per weekEither over 5 days 9.30 - 2.30 or WTF 9-5Runcorn | Hybrid workingGreat benefits & fantastic team to work inDue to continued growth, this is a newly created role.Our client is an award-winning legal firm with 4 offices across the North.This is a part time role with between 21-25 hours a week required which could either be 3 full days at 7 hours per day or 5 days at 5 hours a day which is flexible around how the hours look in practice.General Responsibilities:*Daily banking and bank reconciliations.*BACS and CHAPS payments.*Facilitating inter-account transfers.*Process client payment.*Monitor bank accounts for incoming client funds and bank transfers.*Handling general queries from fee earners and auditors.*Process invoices (internal and purchase ledger) and check completion statements.*Ensuring compliance with SAR, money laundering and VAT regulation.*Assist with credit control duties when needed.*Preparation of weekly payment runs and dealing with suppliers as appropriate.*Processing of expenses and company credit card transactions.*Handling searches including HMLR / HMCTS / Companies house etc.*Resolving ledger queries and sundry transaction requests.*Assisting the finance manager with projects that may include client residual balances and routine accounts duties.The role requires the following: -*Good understanding of Solicitors SRA Account Rules - preferred*Willingness to undertake additional training as required.*Demonstrate reliability, organisation and ability to work as part of a team.*Has a strong attention to detail and is able to work effectively under pressure.*This is a fast paced role and the ability to work under pressure, with accuracy is essential.*Being able to maintain confidentiality to our internal and external clients.Desirable Skills:-*At least 2 years legal cashier experience.*Experience working with Leap and Xero.*IT proficient, especially in MS Excel.Benefits;*Supportive and friendly culture where people are placed before profit.*The firm is award winning and highly regarded.*Staff Rewards and recognition - offering discounts on leisure, shopping, and free services such as wellbeing, confidential counselling and support.*Individual and Team performance incentives*Discounted legal services for colleagues, friends and family.*Agile and flexible working.*Death in Service Benefit*24/7 GP access for you and your immediate household.*Pension Plan*Up to 28 days holiday + Bank Holidays.*Salary for this role is£25,000 based on a full time position but note that this positionis 21-25 hours per week.Zachary Daniels is a Niche, National & International Recruitment Consultancy.Specialising in Buying, Merchandising & Ecommerce | Design, Technical, Wholesale & Production | Finance | HR & Talent | H&S & Compliance | Marketing, Digital & Technology | Property & Centre Management | Retail, Trade, Leisure & Wholesale Operations | SeniorAppointments & Exec | Sales | Supply Chain & LogisticsBBBH31053
