Job Description

Role: Credit ControllerSalary: Up to £30,000 per annum + 10-15% bonus + excellent benefitsLocation: Manchester (hybrid working)My client is a rapidly growing global organisation offering a range of services to the Financial and Professional Services sector. As part of their exciting growth plans, an opportunity exists to join their business in a Credit Controller role.The RoleReporting into the Credit Control Team Leader, you will be part of the Credit Control team and will work closely with both the Cash Management and Credit Control teams on the cashbook and collections processes.As well as BAU Credit Control processes, you will also be involved in several project-based initiatives as the company looks to improve and standardise their cash management systems.

  • Undertaking all activities required to collect aging debt, including emailing and calling clients and/or their Accounts Payable teams; re-issuing invoices to gain payment; and applying cash to the relevant accounts.
  • Investigating and resolving any client payment queries.
  • Holding monthly debtor meetings.
  • Undertaking any ad-hoc finance tasks, as required.
  • Complying with regulatory rules at all times.
  • Managing and maintaining inter-company relationships with key stakeholders.
The PersonThis role would be best suited to a candidate who has strong attention to detail and a controls mindset. You have prior experience working in Credit Control and be keen to contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes.
  • Previous credit control experience.
  • Outstanding numeracy, data management and manipulation skills.
  • Strong communication skills and an inquisitive mind.
  • IT literate, including strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Sage Intacct (preferred - not essential).
  • Resilience and the ability to be firm when necessary, to ensure the expectations of senior stakeholders are managed appropriately.
  • Diligent, analytical and able to work in a fast-paced environment accurately.
The role is based in their Manchester office, offering hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home once up to speed.
