Job Description

Works Coordinator Location: CaldicotPosition: Full time, PermanentSalary: Up to £30,000 p/a + benefitsOur Client Autograph Recruitment is delighted to be working with this local, well established, family-run business; offering a range of services, from construction to plant hire. They successfully manage solutions for a variety of high-profile customers, providingcomplete solutions for a vary of needs.This individual will be responsible for keeping note of all jobs carried out, checking all parts and equipment are in place and compliance. It is an essential role to maintain the smooth running of the quarrying and construction department, so exceed industrystandards.This can offer an excellent career opportunity for a local individual who would like to be valued in a family-feel team. Our client has a proven track record in being committed to providing all necessary support and training to the right candidate.Responsibilities of Works Coordinator:

  • Allocating jobs and schedules to suitable engineers
  • Coordinate and schedule jobs, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Liaise with suppliers, fitters and colleagues on site and in office, updating them with job progress information
  • Track progress and identify and resolve any potential issues
  • Maintain vehicle tracking software and fuel cards
  • Order and track materials and supplies
  • Chasing orders and processing quotes for machine parts
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Prepare, and complete work packs and documentation for assigned jobs
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience within a data entry or processing role
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, whilst working on own initiative
  • Organised and efficient with the ability to multi-task
  • Personable and great communication skills
  • Experience with the Plant Hire / Construction industry would be advantageous
  • IT proficiency and great on Microsoft office
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines, efficiently
