Job Description

Our national manufacturer and distributor client based in Sharpness, Berkeley, have a brand-new requirement for a Despatch Desk Operator to join their friendly team on 6-month fixed term contract, in order to help during their busy period.Key Responsibilities; - Assist the Transport co-ordinator to ensure the efficient running of the despatch desk- To accurately produce site paperwork, consignment notes and picklists- To accurately ensure the weighbridge is operated in accordance with company procedures- Ensure goods are received and despatched accurately according to company procedures- Ensure accurately information is produced - Explaining health and safety site rules to haulage contractors- Communicating on the phone in a polite and courteous manner- Answering the Telephone and passing on clear detailed messages- Ad hoc admin tasks as and when requiredCandidate Attributes; - A can do attitude is essential in this role, to ensure customers receive a high level of service- Punctual- Organised, able to manage workload effectively- An excellent telephone manner is essential, having the ability to communicate clearly at all levels and keep a calm presence within the office and on the telephone when under pressure- Establish strong working relationships throughout the business- Willing to support othersHours; Monday to Friday 7am - 4pmSalary; Up to £9.00 per hour Required skills
