Junior Clerk, Crime Sheffield£23,800 - £25,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)Holidays: 25 per year plus Bank Holidays (rising with length of service)Benefits: contributory pension scheme, private healthcare and cash plan, group life policyThis is an opportunity to join our client’s criminal clerking team in Sheffield at the entry/training level as a Junior Clerk. They have a 5-step career progression framework for their clerks and seek applications from people looking for a long-term careeropportunity supporting barristers with their careers and helping to run a busy and professionally managed barristers’ Chambers.Working with teams across their four sites, you will play a vital role in delivering a smooth and comprehensive clerking service to their members, including: diary management (ensuring the fair allocation of work), recording of briefs and instructions, checkingcourt & tribunal listings, negotiating fees and dealing with email and telephone bookings and enquiries from clients.Ideally, you will have some experience of office work from a comparative administrative role in a legal or professional services environment.Essentially, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate strong written and spoken communication skills, high attention to detail, organisational skills, the ability to provide excellent client care and a friendly, approachable and flexible manner in working togetherwith colleagues and members.
