Job Description

SEMH Support WorkerSheffieldFull time - Long term£95 - £100 per day. Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with an SEMH through school in Sheffield, the school are looking for relatable, resilient, and nurturing support workers to aid students in managing andregulating their behaviours and emotions throughout the learning journey.The students have bright personalities, and need consistency to be able to thrive. We are looking for reliable and tenacious support workers who have good attendance record, can stay calm under pressure and think on their feet. The ability to bring empathyand lived experience to students is highly regarded.Team Teach training will be provided to aid you in the positive behaviour support approaches adapted by this school.The job

  • The school is looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion and providing additional support, to provide the very best opportunity for allocated students.
  • You will work with the subject specialist teachers who will provide their expertise in supporting you with the subject matter to enable you to deliver engaging learning support.
  • To provide specialist subject expertise to assist students, completing reports and providing feedback on student progress as appropriate.
The successful candidate will
  • Have experience working with children/vulnerable adults with challenging behaviours.
  • Have the confidence and ability to challenge negative behaviours and re-focus learning engagement.
  • Have an understanding of SEND and provide a calm and nurturing learning environment.
