EstimatorShirly, West Midlands30-40k on target payPermanent RoleCompany Profile:My client are specialist Blinds, Curtains, and Shutters experts, based in Shirly, who have been servicing the whole West Midlands for all their window covering needs for almost 40 years. Dedicated to providing affordable and complimentary coverings, theyknow the importance of finding the correct blinds or curtains to perfectly suit the design of any building. As my client are looking for an estimator to support their Commercial Sales Team, in providing accurate and comprehensive cost calculations, and to assist in developing the systems and processes in place to improve theirquotations. The right candidate will be a strong communicator that can liaise with both clients and management to ensure everyone is happy with the sales process. Alongside this they are looking for someone competent with numbers, being able to make fast accuratecalculations.Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring excellent communication with the internal projects team including sales, project managers and production.
• Evaluating and interpreting the information supplied in order to identify the most appropriate solution to be costed.• Liaising with the customer where necessary to clarify where there is missing information or any ambiguity.• Working to deadlines set by the commercial sales manager to return estimates and tenders within the specified time scale.• Understanding and interpreting accurately, specifications, bill of quantities, and architects’ drawings in order to provide quotations• Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations within time constraints.• Liaising with suppliers to obtain costs where required as part of the project• Working with supplier and the supply chain to ensure the most cost effective and profitable solution is proposed in order to provide the best possible chance of securing the project.• Recording sales and order information accurately on internal ERP/CRM software.• Assisting with the development of the new ERP/CRM by providing input on the system during use and helping to shape the functionality requirements to improve the efficiency and accuracy with which quotes are calculated.• Completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires as part of the tender process• Ensuring all relevant administration systems are accurate and updated appropriately in accordance with systems & procedures.
  • Receiving telephone calls and dealing with customer queries / orders in an efficient manner.
• Liaising with customers and colleagues to resolve technical queries.• General support to the Contract Manager• Assisting the daily activities of running the manufacturing and installation departments of Capricorn Blinds Ltd and carry out any reasonable action as requested by the department head at the time.Benefit:
