Job Description

Deerfoot IT Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an MLRO Officer to join a FCA-regulated fintech company in Sittingbourne Kent hybrid working. This full-time MLRO hybrid role comes with an attractive salary £100k-£140k+ Generous Package bonus / shareoptions etc….As an MLRO Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and combating the financing of terrorism requirements set out by the Financial Conduct Authority.In your first few weeks in this MLRO role, you can expect to:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the companys AML and CFT policies and procedures in line with FCA regulations
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant AML laws and regulations
  • Oversee the monitoring of transactions to identify suspicious activities
  • Investigate and report suspicious transactions to the appropriate authorities (e.g National Crime Agency) within required timeframes
  • Conduct regular AML risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
To apply for this MLRO Officer role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:
  • Must have experience in Retail Wealth Management - ESSENTIAL
  • Have held SMF17 (ESSENTIAL), and (ideally) SMF16
  • Significant senior experience in compliance, ideally within a CASS compliance role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
