Job Description

Teaching AssistantContract - Slough, SL1 basedSeptember start! Do you have a passion for learning, supporting and shaping the minds of our next generation Apply to this Slough based Teaching Assistant role!An Ofsted rated Outstanding is opening its doors (and hearts) to the newest member of their support team!You will be supporting a few year groups between Year 1 - Year 6, supporting over the KS1/KS2 national curriculum. A candidate should desirably have a previous understanding or working experience - it could be being a parent or hold previous Teaching Assistantexperience.Your duties as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Recording and reporting the KS1/KS2 pupils progress to the teacher.
  • Establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with the Slough Primary pupils to support them feeling safe and enabling them to enjoy and learn during their time at the school.
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to work collaboratively within a multi-professional team.
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with higher needs, this could be from challenging behaviour needing a break, ADHD, Autism or Dyslexia requiring more unique approaches to the main classroom.
  • Contribute to providing high quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.
  • Respond to the varying and changing needs of the Slough based school and adapt to any task presented to achieve the smooth running of the school.
  • Provide a safe learning environment for the KS1/KS2 children. Holding a high standard of Safeguarding knowledge, willing to undergo regular training as provided.
