Job Description

Gleeson has been exclusive partnered with a Finance Services Business looking for a Project Buyer. This Opportunity would be best fitted to a professional looking to expand their knowledge within the Banking industry.Job Title: BuyerContract : 6 Months +Locations: Birmingham

  • Assess and select service providers based on criteria such as expertise, quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with the business standards and requirements.
  • Negotiate favourable terms and conditions in contracts and agreements with service providers, including pricing, scope of work, performance metrics, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand service needs and specifications, and develop sourcing strategies to meet those needs, providing necessary advice and support.
  • Perform market research and analysis to identify potential service providers, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Lead the RFx process for relevant contracts, including drafting documents, evaluating proposals, and selecting qualified vendors.
  • Collaborate with business, legal, and finance teams to review and approve contracts, ensuring alignment with policies and regulations.
  • Utilise central procurement software to manage contract review cycles, maintain accurate records, and generate reports on purchasing activities and performance metrics.
  • Adhere to central and regulatory control frameworks.
  • Support reporting requirements for savings targets allocated to the business, contribute to committee meeting packs, and update local procedures.
