Job Description

ASD Support Worker - WiltshireSeptember 2024 StartDo you want to help children with ASD develop independence Are you passionate about celebrating individuality and being uniqueA fantastic school in Wiltshire are looking for pro-active, educated individual to join their school in September 2024 as an ASD Support Worker in the new academic year. In the role of an ASD Support Worker will require someone with patience, good initiativeand a pro-active mind-set in order to support their students with additional needs. The school considers its staff to be their best resource, working with professional partnerships internally to provide the students with the very best education, meaning thesuccessful candidate will be surrounded with professional guidance and advice to best support their students.The school caters to children aged 2-19 with complex learning disabilities, including autism, creating individual learning plans to best suit them. As an ASD Support Worker, you will be working on a 1-1 basis with students, nurturing a trusting relationshipand creating a safe space for them to grow and learn independence. The school want their students to follow their instincts and investigate things for themselves while still having an ASD Support Worker to encourage them. Teaching students to embrace creativityand learn critical thinking skills is a priority for the school, to prepare students for real-life scenarios. The school are looking for an ASD Support Worker to act as a role model for their students and help them approach their individual challenges
