Locum Commercial Property Team Leader – Home Counties – Up to £65 per hour Umbrella – Remote Working – 3 months – Full Time Job Title:Locum Commercial Property Team LeaderLocation: Home Counties based Local AuthorityRate:Up to £65 per hour UmbrellaWorking Hours: Full Time (37 hours per week), remote workingVenn Group’s specialised legal team are in collaboration with aLocal Authority based in the Home Counties in their search for an experiencedLocum Commercial Property Team Leader. This is a full time position where you will be the Principal Legal Advisor to the Council and within the Property Team. There may also be some assistance with the Major Projects Team.Duties include:

Dealing with deal with all land transactions, ensuring a satisfactory outcome for the Council
Drafting, preparing, and ensuring completion of leases and licences of industrialand Commercial premises to ensure the interests of the Council are protected bothfinancially and commercially, includingdrafting documentation without precedents ifnecessary
Drafting and preparing and ensure completion of all legal documentation relating tosales and purchases of land and to ensure completion of the same including draftingdocumentation without precedents ifnecessary
Undertaking due diligence work and the drafting of any transactional documents in relation to residential and other properties for the purposes of the Council
Assisting, mentoring, and leading junior members of the team to enable them to progress in both knowledge and experience in all aspects of property law
Maintaining a record of all training and development undertaken in accordance with the requirements of your professional body
Providing legal advice to the Council, the Cabinet, committees, sub committees, panels and working groups; including the obtaining of external legal advice and opinion, where appropriate
