Job Description

Job Title: Remediation Complex Support Case Handler Location: Remote (candidates MUST be UK-based) Term: 6-month Contract (with possibility for extension) Rate: £Competitive - Inside IR35Do you have experience working in a complex remediation or redress programme in Financial Service Do you understand the complexities and sensitivities of remediation programmes and are comfortable speaking directly with claimants to listen and help them withall aspects of submitting their claim Our client is looking for a number of experienced, empathetic case handlers who are comfortable answering queries either by phone or by written correspondence to join the team on an initial 6-month contract with the potentialfor extension. Candidates must be available to start in July for a minimum of 6 months. Key Responsibilities:As an experienced remediation case handler, you will understand the complexities and sensitivities of a remediation programme. You will have an understanding of, and experience in the following:

  • Financial Services Remediation principles and their application,
  • Consequential Loss, Heads of Loss and their relationship to Remediation claims,
  • Quick to understand complex scenarios and potential solutions,
  • Compensatory interest principles
Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Triaging complex claims, answering and asking claimants questions in order to expedite claims,
  • Contacting claimants by telephone and providing support and guidance in a professional and empathetic manner,
  • Explaining Consequential Loss and claim principles to claimants,
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Utilising advanced Excel and Microsoft skills, including Office 365 and SharePoint.
To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Remediation experience in a Financial Services environment.
  • An empathetic approach, be proactive with good listening skills and able to undertake potentially difficult and challenging telephone conversations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Strong relationship management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and SharePoint
