Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Location: Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark
  • Salary: Term Time Only Pro Rata annual salary is £23,770 - £24,849 plus Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Or long term: £85 – £110 a day
  • Start Date: 1st September 2024
  • Job Type: Full-Time
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-organized SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support to children with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their academic and social-emotionalgoals. This position requires flexibility and efficiency, as you will be working in a lively school environment and reporting to the Phase Lead.About Us:Our school is a diverse and vibrant institution.   • Assist SEN students with their daily activities and learning tasks.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement individualized support plans.
  • Support the well-being and social development of students.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external agencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of empathy.
  • The ability to adapt to the varying needs and situations of students.
  • A passion for supporting children’s growth and development.
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, such as a CACHE Level 2 Certificate.
