Could you coach and mentor someone to set up and run a business All whilst working from home You will be joining a large charity that look after their staff (investors in people / best company awards) to work on an innovative government funded programme, which is incredibly important in the current climate. This project supports unemployed job seekers to go self-employed or set up a business. You will work with individuals from the early stages to see if they have a viable business idea. Looking at the practicalities such as start-up cost, personal budgeting, establishing a need, reviewing the individuals experience / capability. You will then progress people towards setting up a business plan, cash flow forecasts and marketing strategies. Up until launch day – at which point you will support the business in its early days to start trading. Most of the people you work with will be setting up microbusinesses, such as self-employed hairdressers, cleaners or trades people. Or perhaps running a business within online sales such as Amazon or E-Bay. You will identify and work with entrepreneurial individuals to help them grow,.To apply for this role, it’s essential that you have advised multiple individuals on how to set up and run a business, with a solid track record and a long list of examples of businesses you have supported. Please note this role is Monday to Friday, 9 – 5 and will be PAYE. It is home working, however from time to time you might need to pop out and meet clients face to face to provide support. We would welcome people who have a SFEDI qualification. Or who might have previously worked as a Business Coach, or Business Start Up Mentor before.
