Work from home. Coach and mentor people who have set up their own business or gone self-employed. Join a great charity who look after their staff (investors in people / best company awards). This charity help those who are unemployed with entrepreneurial flair set up their own business or become self-employed. Typical businesses could range from cake making, e-bay trading, cleaning or virtual PA’s. The individuals first work with a start-up coach, who has helped them set the business up and get started. Your job is to provide 12 months of support and coaching around any issues they might have, most of which you can sign post to other team members / specialists. You will have around 200 people on your caseload, and will offer phone and online video based support. Typical challenges could include tax issues, marketing, business planning, accessing grants or general coaching and support. You don’t need to be a business start-up expert (although some exp of this is useful of course) as you will have access to a team of experts you can sign post people to (or go to yourself and access the info for them). Please apply via this advert with your CV. If you would like to find out more (or by chance have applied and have not heard back after a few days) feel free to call the office and ask for James or Lawrence (number on the Red 5 People website). You will be joining a large charity, with heaps of career options (they deliver lots of contacts and are always winning new business) who are a great employer to work for (best company awards & investors in people).People who have previously worked as an employment advisor, business coach, business tutor, or in-work support coach might fit well, but they are happy to look at people with great customer service skills. Being great at Excel is useful (just great at the basics, no pivot tables needed). And those with a SFEDI qualification might find this role of particular interest. Please note, you must be based in or very near to Essex, Kent, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire – as whilst home based, you might need to pop out and see clients at short notice around the region.
