Are you passionate about creating a safe and healthy working environmentDo you have experience in implementing health and safety policies and proceduresOur client is looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join their team in Brierley.PermanentMission:As the Health and Safety Advisor, your role will be to implement the organisations health and safety policies and procedures. You will ensure that all employees have a safe and healthy working environment while ensuring compliance with current and futureregulations and laws.Responsibilities:

Conduct safety audits and on-site inspections to identify workplace hazards and unsafe equipment and practises.
Liaise with senior management and operational users in conducting safety tours.
Ensure correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Investigate non-compliance health and safety issues thoroughly.
Support the completion of permit to work forms for all external contractors.
Maintain and update Health and Safety documentation electronically.
Contribute to internal and external audits.
Ensure first aid supplies and resources are readily available.
Recommend changes to working processes and conditions to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
Maintain and analyse records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and absences.
Educate and train the workforce on health and safety policies and procedures.
Manage specific projects as assigned by the business or line manager.

Technical competencies:

Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP.
Familiarity with Success Factors, ProSafety, Action Tracker, IOSH, and NEBOSH.

Requirements:To excel in this role, you should have a deep understanding of health and safety regulations and laws. Furthermore, you should possess excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to work independently and collaboratively is essential.Benefits:- Salary: Up to £28,000, depending on experience.- Working hours: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week (after deducting a daily unpaid thirty-minute break).
