Job Description

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the steel industryJoin our clients team as they continue to grow and thrive in their operations.This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of £30,000 plus a bonus.In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of production equipment and machinery. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to break-downs and other operating problems, as well as completing planned maintenanceactivities to minimise disruptions to manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend machines to assess planned maintenance activities and diagnose breakdowns.
  • Establish a safe working area and communicate with machine operators to attain information relating to deviations.
  • Undertake appropriate repairs to machinery and instruct machine operators to test machinery on completion of maintenance activity.
  • Maintain tools and repair equipment to ensure good working order.
To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and a thorough understanding of Health and Safety procedures.
