Job Description

Are you a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in the steel industryJoin our clients team as they continue to grow and thrive in their operations.This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary of £30,000 plus a bonus.In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of production equipment and machinery. Your primary responsibility will be to respond to break-downs and other operating problems, as well as completing planned maintenanceactivities to minimise disruptions to manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities:

Attend machines to assess planned maintenance activities and diagnose breakdowns.
Establish a safe working area and communicate with machine operators to attain information relating to deviations.
Undertake appropriate repairs to machinery and instruct machine operators to test machinery on completion of maintenance activity.
Maintain tools and repair equipment to ensure good working order.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and a thorough understanding of Health and Safety procedures.
