Job Description

They are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Science Teacher to become a vital part of their vibrant community.The Role: As a Science Teacher at this Sutton based school, you will:

  • Teach Science: Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging and innovative teaching methods.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the science curriculum, ensuring it remains exciting and relevant.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and support the progress of all students, providing feedback that helps them achieve their academic goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Science department and other colleagues to share best practices and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
  • Support extracurricular science activities and events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a science-related subject.
  • A passion for science and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Previous science teacher experience would be beneficial
