Job Description

Legal Secretary – ConveyancingTenterden, KentFull time or part time considered£25,000 - £27,000 + benefitsA reputable law firm with offices across Kent are looking to recruit a legal secretary to join their residential property team. You will work with the other secretaries in the team to support the fee earners in Tenterden, and other offices as and when required.Responsibilities

  • Provide admin support to the conveyancing team, including managing correspondence, handling phone calls, and organising appointments and meetings.
  • Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, deeds, and completion statements.
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other parties involved in property transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records.
  • Diary management for the head of department
  • Handle post-completion tasks, including stamp duty payments and Land Registry applications.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a legal secretary
  • Sound understanding & experience within the start to finish conveyancing process
  • Strong admin and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and conveyancing software.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
