This is a solid mix of you coming into the role with hands-on experience (and something you want to keep) and managing a team of very talented studio professionals. Its a tough job, but if you leaving from the front and are a great people manager, thisone COULD just be for you!Its a unique position because the Design Managers role you will be doing, will be yours to make it how you want but the previous one is still in the business. Theyve been promoted and in a position where they need to replace themselves. Its useful toyou, because youll have them as a sounding board and still there to help you settle in and support them in their new role. Also, its great because it shows you, that, even though youre coming in as a Manager, theres still room to progress. So, we need you to walk into this role knowing Solid Works like its the back of your hand. Along with Solid Works, youll know your way around Adobe CC. Ideally, you can show us your first hand people management skills as you will inherit a team of 7. Yourexperience doesnt have to be full on people management, you could be a Senior where youve managed other people in the team, it doesnt have to be the whole department. The work in the place is cool. Proper manufacturing. Signage, Fabrication and Graphics. Your clients are some of the biggest names in Retail, Transport, Live Entertainment & the biggest construction projects across Europe. What youre designing and managingwill be seen by millions of eyes worldwide.Signage and Fabrication industry knowledge and experience isnt actually needed, it would though, help you hit the ground running so much quicker. So if you do have experience in Signage, Print, Fabrication and such like, youll be right at home here.Youll be responsible for the workflow, managing the projects, working with the Projects Director on the integration of new projects into the Studio, the turn around, the production and just generally having a handle on whats what in the Studio.Youll have to be used to working at speed. This place doesnt sit still. Theres multiple projects on the go at once, theres a solid pipeline of work and more and more tenders, recommendations and contract work in the pipeline. So whilst its busy andyoull be managing various projects at once, youll need to be a steady hand, composed and well organised. The role is signed off, we are recruiting now. So if this is something that you think youd want to have a chat about, give us a call and tell us about you. No CV needed to kick things off, so dont hang about, it wont be around for long this one.
