Job Description

Company Secretary Location: Tunbridge Wells, UKPosition: Part-Time Company SecretaryWorking Days: 3 Days per Week Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Company Secretary to join a small, dynamic accountancy practice based in Tunbridge Wells on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a good secretarial background, preferably within an accountancy practice. This rolerequires a highly organized and proactive individual who can manage various administrative and compliance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice. Key Responsibilities:

  • Corporate Governance: Ensure the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining proper records and filings.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for clients, managing communications and scheduling meetings.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize company documents, contracts, and client files.
  • Compliance: Oversee compliance with statutory obligations and assist with the preparation of annual returns and other filings.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the team, including diary management, correspondence, and office organization.
  • Financial Administration: Assist with invoicing, accounts payable, and receivable functions as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a company secretary or similar administrative role within an accountancy practice.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
Working Hours:
  • Part-time: 3 days per week (specific days to be agreed upon).
Salary:
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. We estimate the salary range for this part-time role to be between £14,000 to £20,000 per annum.
