Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated H&S Manager to join a Manufacturing site in Wakefield. This role will be a temporary position (however this could become permanent) in the industrial/manufacturing sector, where the successful candidate will be responsible formaintaining and improving health and safety standards.Client DetailsThis is an established business with over 2000 employees in the manufacturing industry. The company is based in Wakefield and prides itself on its commitment to delivering top-notch products and services.DescriptionAs the H&S Manager you will own health and safety for the site. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and enforcing health and safety protocols within the workplace
  • Conducting regular safety audits and inspections
  • Developing and implementing health and safety training programs for staff
  • Ensuring compliance with local and national health and safety regulations
  • Investigating and reporting on any health and safety incidents
  • Working closely with the Engineering & Manufacturing team to continuously improve safety standards
  • Liaising with external health and safety bodies as required
  • Developing and maintaining health and safety records and documentation
ProfileThe successful H&S Manager should have:
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
  • Worked in a manufacturing environment previously within H&S
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety, ideally NEBOSH
Job Offer
