Job Description

Job Title: Registered Manager - Childrens EBD Service (7 beds)Location: WiganSalary: £55,000 (with potential to increase up to £70,000 with bonus)Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Manager to lead our 6-bed EBD service in Wigan. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and day-to-day operation of the service, ensuring the highest standardsof care and support are provided to our young people.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management to the service, developing and implementing policies, procedures, and strategies to achieve outstanding outcomes for our young people.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities, commissioners, and partner agencies.
  • Manage a team of staff, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure excellent practice and high-quality care.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of individualized care plans, ensuring they meet the needs of each young person.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, auditing, and inspections.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.

  • Registered Manager qualification (level 4 NVQ or above)
  • Proven experience in a similar role or leadership position in a childrens residential setting
  • Strong knowledge of EBD care principles and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent understanding of OFSTED Requirements
