Job Description

Content, Event and Promotions Officer/TechnicianFull Time - PermanentPay Rate: 24-27kGreater ManchesterOur Client:Our client was rated "Good" in its last OFSTED report, and striving for outstanding. The College sees around 15,000 students each year enrol on courses, and their needs are at the heart of everything they do. They have 100% pass rates in around 50 coursesdelivered, as well as boasting some of the strongest partnerships with employers across Lancashire, which helps prepare students for life after college. Whether thats helping with future employment opportunities, or continued studies into higher education.The College has multi-million-pound facilities, including a fully set up TV Studio.The role:The post holder will play a central role in supporting the Head of Department, Deputy Heads of Department, and Curriculum Staff in planning, organising and delivery of large scale public facing events at key points in the College Calander. You will be responsiblefor the day-to-day organisation, and collating of promotional content related to the various activities and events around the Creative and Performing Arts Department (Videos/Photos etc)Duties of the position:

  • To help curriculum staff in Creative and Performing Arts plan and organise a range of large scale events throughout the college calendar including, but not limited to, end of year art exhibition, fashion shows, pantomime, dance shows, music gigs, muralpainting and photography exhibitions
  • To liaise with outside agencies and suppliers to book and or purchase materials to enable delivery of said events
  • Assist the team of technicians when required
  • To support the Department in the delivery of outstanding Open Evenings for prospective students and their parents
  • To support curriculum staff in the organisation and delivery of trips and visits for our student groups
What you need:
  • Experience in Events, Content, and Promotions
  • Have a great understanding of social media, and can work closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work towards deadlines
  • Experience in the public sector is preferred
  • Have worked in an FE College is an advantage
  • The post holder will be subjected to an enhanced DBS check and will need a clean record
  • To take responsibility for ones own continuous and professional development
