You will be teaching pupils working between levels 1-7 in GCSE Maths. Therefore you may well specialise in tutoring Maths, but will have experienceof delivering tuition on a 1:1 basis to disengaged pupils or pupils with Social Emotional and Mental health Needs (SEMH). At this provision, Teachers also receive PPA time every day for 2 hours from 2.30pm- 4.30pm.Your responsibilities will include:* 1:1 and whole class teaching in smaller classes.* Following the curriculum and differentiating lessons accordingly.* Ensuring that teaching and learning is adapted to make lessons as engaging and accessible to learners as possible.* Working with support staff in class to ensure behaviour is well managed and positive behaviours are rewarded.You will ideally have the following to be successful in the role:* An experienced Tutor or Teacher in Secondary or Further Education.* Specialise in Maths* Experience of working with children or adults with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs, Autism or ADHD.* Full Time availability on an ongoing basis.The role is to start as soon as possible on a temporary to permanent basis and will require 100% commitment.
