Job Description

Clinical PsychologistStoke-on-Trent and Wilmslow, CheshireSalary: £45,240 to £61,859 pro rataContract: Permanent, 32 hours per week (ideally across 4 days, but open to discussion)As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have the autonomy to follow preexisting programs, support the planning of new ones, and develop a range of therapeutic practices. You will work closely with a clinical team consisting of three Assistant Psychologists, SENDCo,SLT, Pastoral Leads, Teachers, and young people.Responsibilities

  • Conducting assessments and designing individualised plans and strategies.
  • Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Engaging in report writing and multi-professional reviews.
  • Providing advice, information, and training to staff, parents, commissioners, and other agencies.
  • Upholding professional and regulatory guidelines in all duties.
Essential Criteria:
  • HCPC Registered practitioner psychologist (clinical, educational, or counselling).
  • Previous experience working with children, special educational needs, or mental health settings.
  • Good understanding of ethical principles underpinning practice.
  • Ability to apply psychological theories to interventions.
  • Competence in engaging and adapting communication with young people, professionals, and families.
  • Confidence in working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to accept and use supervision appropriately and effectively.
