Job Description

Recruiting on behalf of a leading corporation based in central Surrey who are looking for a 6 month Interim Group Accountant. The role will support the Group reporting team during a peak in requirements.Responsibilities:

Prepare consolidated financial information for the Annual Report, half-year and full-year press releases and Audit Committee papers, together with analysis and insights.
Ensure that the Groups external financial disclosures are accurate and compliant with financial reporting standards and relevant laws and regulations.
Prepare analysis for Group external reporting and accounting matters
Prepare analysis for specialist Group accounting areas, including goodwill/intangible asset impairment testing and M&A transactions, and supporting accounting papers as appropriate.
Support the external audit process at Group for half-year and year-end to ensure that audit deliverables are provided to the agreed timetable and that audit issues are closed on a timely basis.
Prepare regional and country balance sheet analysis and briefing papers to identify risks to the Groups balance sheet and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of the preparation or audit of consolidated financial statements. The ability to work well within a team environment and liaise across finance teams is essential for the position. Previousexperience of HFM would be advantageous.Required skills
